Tsuen Wan Line

By Iain MacDonald 2014-08-09• Hong Kong MTR

This line is pretty straight forward apart from being through some of the busiest and most populated areas of Hong Kong. It goes from Central all the way up to Tsuen Wan. I didn’t however go back to Central this day as it would have added an extra round trip to the start without very much cycling. I wanted to get under way as soon as possible and I had already ‘banked’ another picture of Central from the last time I was on the Island so I proceeded straight from Tsim Sha Tsui.

The first picture is from the previous trip to the Island.

After getting to Tsuen Wan I had planned to go back and finish the Airport Express by visiting the last remaining station I had missed Asia World-Expo. Since it was still early and I was feeling good I made my way back over to Tsing Yi and then on to Sunny Bay as before by MTR.

The route on Strava is as you can see split into multiple pieces but the totals for the day are as follows:

  • 91.3km
    Distance
  • 4:40:30
    Moving Time
  • 1,779m
    Elevation

The previous line was the Airport Express, the one after this was the East Rail Line and if you haven’t already, take a look at my inspiration for the MTR Cycling Challenge.
