Let there be Light

A couple of mini updates on the layout. I went out today and picked up a few more bits for the layout. One of which was some 0805 SMD LEDs.

I modified one of the buffer stops I picked up last week to include a micro warning light. It draws power from the track though very fine nearly invisible wires but I’m not sure whether or not I’ll add to the resistor to tone down the light output or not.

The other accomplishment today was computer controlled signalling. I picked up a three aspect signal from Concorde Hobby Shop and hooked it up to a simple circuit board with a handful of transistors and resistors which in turn was connected to an ESP8266 module controlled through the network by the control server running in Node with commands sent from my laptop via the JS frontend.
